Overview

In this role you will drive reliable component lead times, cost competitiveness, and lean purchasing for Product Company Zaragoza. You will work with Manufacturing and Engineering to meet schedules while maintaining quality, and lead strategic supplier partnerships to sustain value and growth. You’ll champion cost reduction, optimize inventory, and ensure supplier quality and ethical standards. As a hands-on leader, you will develop a cohesive team and align purchasing with Atlas Copco’s mission in an international setting.

Responsabilidades

- Maintain a robust local and general supplier base to support operations while lowering total material costs
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and suppliers to meet schedules with quality and timeliness
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and benchmark against other product companies to secure competitive pricing
- Identify creative cost-saving solutions and optimize expenses across the division
- Ensure rigorous supplier quality management (SQA) for critical metal works components
- Maintain supplier capacity, shorten lead-times, and optimize inventory levels
- Implement waste-elimination strategies across the supply chain for efficiency and sustainability
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI)



and Product Quality Management (PQM) meetings to support continuous improvement
- Promote supplier adherence to environmental, social, safety, health, and ethics policies
- Lead, mentor, and develop a cohesive, skilled team aligned with strategic objectives

Requisitos principales

- Experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies in a complex global industrial environment
- Curiosity and openness to innovation with understanding of Product Company operations and commercial considerations
- Proven negotiation of high-level contracts and development of strategic supplier partnerships
- Task-oriented with a results-driven mindset and strong stress management and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data management and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with ability to perform financial analysis and interpret data
- Commitment to Atlas Copco’s ethical standards and Business Code of Practice
- Willingness to travel regularly to supplier sites globally
- Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency considered an advantage
