In this role you will lead the development of high-performance liquid cooling for SCD-based semiconductors, shaping jet impingement, spray, and microjet cooling architectures. You’ll move concepts to prototypes and validate performance through testing, collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The work supports Diamond Foundry’s mission to enable advanced cooling solutions for cutting-edge chips powered by sustainable processes.
This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity to advance heat management at scale and contribute to a green, diamond-backed manufacturing platform.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
- Lead design and development of liquid cooling architectures for SCD-based devices, focusing on jet impingement, spray, and microjet concepts
- Model and optimize fluid flow and heat transfer to define geometries, distributions, and operating conditions, including single- and two-phase regimes
- Design cooling hardware for prototyping and manufacturing with fluid distribution and micro-machined features while considering fabrication constraints
- Build and experimentally characterize prototypes, analyzing thermal and fluid performance to drive iterations
- Advance tech development from concept to prototype demonstration and integration with SCD-based semiconductors, collaborating with internal teams and external partners
Responsabilidades
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or related field; MSc/PhD valued
- Strong background in thermal engineering, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer; experience with high-performance liquid cooling
- Hands-on experience designing/validating thermal-fluid xugodme hardware; exposure to jet impingement, spray cooling, microjets/microfluidics, or other high heat-flux approaches
- Experience with computational/analytical thermal-fluid modeling, ideally CFD, plus experimental validation
- Experience designing components for precision or micro-scale manufacturing (e.g., micromachining) and translating concepts into manufacturable prototypes
