Overview As a Software Engineer on Kraken’s Consumer team, you design and inplore robust Rust services powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences. You will build scalable, low-latency systems with a security-first mindset, working alongside a large Rust-focused engineering community. You translate evolving product needs into reliable, high-performance components used by millions of users.

Responsabilidades Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences Write reusable, testable, and highly efficient code that scales across teams and revenue-critical systems Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture to deliver low-latency,



reliable solutions Work with hundreds of Rust engineers to foster a high-performance engineering culture Own end-to-end of systems and libraries from design to deployment Mentor other engineers and contribute to shaping technical culture Translate product requirements into resilient systems that balance performance and safety Requisitos principales 3+ years of software engineering experience Proficient in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust Security-first mindset in system design Ability to autonomously debug issues across OS, network, and application layers Solid understanding of distributed systems and technologies, including RPC protocols, Kafka, and event-driven architectures Ability to collaborate with product teams to gather requirements and constraints Take complete end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries Provide mentorship and contribute to defining technical culture collaboration with cross-functional teams mentorship and coaching autonomy and self-motivation Rust network services / asynchronous Rust * security-conscious design
