Are you an experienced Design Manager ready to take ownership of multidisciplinary design delivery across complex data centre and mission-critical projects?This is a senior opportunity for a technically strong design professional who can lead teams, manage client relationships and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard from initial design through to completion.The RoleAs Design Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the end-to-end design function across your projects.You’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage design quality and programme, oversee external consultants and act as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.Alongside the technical responsibilities, the role offers significant exposure to commercial management, contracts and project performance, making it an opportunity to progress into senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across complex projectsTake ownership of design delivery from concept through to completionManage design programmes,



technical coordination and quality assuranceCoordinate teams working across different locations and time zonesManage sub-consultants and external design packagesMonitor commercial and financial performance of design scopesSupport contract negotiations and commercial discussionsMaintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholdersIdentify and resolve technical and design issues throughout project deliveryEnsure designs meet relevant technical, planning, health & safety and regulatory requirementsMentor and develop junior and senior members of the design teamContribute to continuous improvement, best practice and knowledge sharingWhat We're Looking ForDegree in Engineering, Architecture or a related disciplineSignificant experience in design development and specification for complex building projectsStrong experience within data centres, mission-critical or similarly complex environmentsProven experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary design teamsExperience working across international or geographically distributed project teamsUnderstanding of commercial project frameworks, contracts and project financial managementKnowledge of relevant planning, health & safety and regulatory requirementsStrong client-facing and stakeholder management skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesProfessional membership or relevant chartership is desirableIf you're an experienced Design Manager with a background in complex building projects and are looking for the opportunity to take on greater technical, commercial and leadership responsibility, I'd be keen to hear from you.
