As a Senior Traction Control Engineer in our Rolling Stock team, you will define, develop, and validate traction control strategies that keep trains safe, efficient, and reliable. You will lead the traction control function development and collaborate across disciplines to shape robust architectures and drive the full development lifecycle. The role emphasizes modeling, validation, and cross-team integration to meet international standards, enabling digital innovation for sustainable transport. You’ll work in a global, multidisciplinary environment with a strong focus on impact and continuous learning.

• Lead the development of traction control functions for optimal performance and passenger comfort
• Shape traction control architectures by translating system requirements and collaborating with cross-functional experts
• Drive the complete development lifecycle from requirements and design to testing and commissioning
• Validate and optimize system performance by analyzing traction converters, electrical machines, and drive operation to meet standards
• Develop advanced simulation models to validate control strategies and support troubleshooting
• Collaborate with propulsion, TCMS, and vehicle control teams for seamless system integration
Responsabilidades
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• Solid experience in traction control, rail propulsion systems, or power electronics
• Deep understanding of traction converters, electrical machines, drive control, and vehicle dynamics
• Proven ability to translate complex system requirements into effective control strategies and software xqbhyrx specs
• Strong analytical skills and a structured engineering mindset
• Fluency in English (C1); ability to work in international, multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with railway functional safety standards (EN 50657, EN 50128, EN 50129)
• Knowledge of model-based development (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and TCMS interfaces
