This is a job for a person who does not need a job, ideally a retired or semi-retired chef who speaks English.
A chef in Mexico does not mean culinary school; you may have learned from your grandmother and worked at a taco stand, you are no less of a chef than someone who worked in a restaurant. Knowledge and an absolute passion for Mexican food are what is needed.
At The Chef Tours, we have both a day and a night tour in different parts of town. It takes a long time to build a food tour; some of the work has begun, and both tours have a meeting point, route, and TripAdvisor's badge of excellence. However, we will have to work on your web presence with video, name recognition, etc. To get an idea of what we do in that regard, Google, Chef PJ, and Paris.
You will be paid a percentage of the gross ticket price to cover food and your fee, and share in the profit of the company after a year.
English is mandatory, and we do not work with guides; only the chef or the chef couple will lead tours. You can send a CV or a cover letter, either is fine.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: 20.00€ - 50.00€ per hour
