About the Role

Our client, an established machine vision company whose inspection and guidance systems run on automotive production lines, has set up a Spanish subsidiary in Barcelona to lead sales, implementation and service across Europe. As Field Application Engineer, you will be the technical face of its products at OEM, Tier 1 and line-builder sites.

What You'll Do

- Install, configure and commission vision systems on-site: hardware, software and robot/PLC communication
- Deliver glue bead, weld and surface inspection, guidance, best-fit and in-line measurement projects alongside the project manager
- Train customer teams at major OEMs, Tier 1s and line builders across stamping, welding, painting, final assembly and battery assembly




- Provide post-SOP support: remote commissioning, optimisation, lab testing and on-site troubleshooting
- Feed customer insights back to HQ R&D;, improve product documentation, and help run the Spanish spare-parts warehouse

What You Bring

- Bachelor's degree in measurement & control, automation, mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering
- Hands-on experience in at least one automotive process (adhesive application, MIG/MAG/laser welding, assembly) or in robot/PLC commissioning
- Fluent English (C1 ) plus at least one other European language; Spanish is a strong advantage
- Flexibility to travel across Europe for customer projects, and a strong sense of ownership
- Machine vision experience and on-site commissioning at an OEM are a strong plus
