We’re looking for a Freelance PR Specialist focused on the Spanish market to support us across a growing portfolio of client projects.

The Role

- This is a freelance collaboration for someone with solid experience in media relations in Spain and who feels genuinely comfortable working directly with journalists on a regular basis.
- The role will involve supporting different client projects, from product launches and funding announcements to reports, thought leadership campaigns and ongoing press office activity.
- A big part of the work is hands-on media relations: identifying the right journalists, pitching stories individually, following up, coordinating interviews and maintaining strong relationships with the media.

Responsibilities may include

- Pitching stories directly to journalists across Spanish national, business, tech and trade media
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with relevant journalists
- Distributing press releases and managing follow-ups
- Identifying the right media targets and angles for each story
- Coordinating interviews, briefings and media opportunities
- Adapting and localising press materials for the Spanish market
- Writing press releases,



pitches and supporting PR materials when needed
- Providing input on local media strategy and positioning
- Supporting several client projects depending on availability and workload

We’re looking for someone who

- Has 3+ years of experience in PR, media relations or communications in Spain
- Has direct experience pitching journalists and securing media coverage
- Has an existing network of media contacts in Spain
- Is comfortable picking up the phone, sending individual pitches and following up directly with journalists
- Understands how Spanish media works and how to adapt a story to different types of outlets
- Has experience working with tech companies, startups, agencies or B2B brands
- Writes confidently and naturally in Spanish
- Has a good level of English
- Is reliable, responsive and comfortable working independently across different projects

Nice to have

- Experience with business, technology, startup or innovation media
- Experience working with international PR agencies or multi-market campaigns
- Existing relationships with Tier 1 Spanish journalists
