Piping QA/QC Inspector / Welding Inspector – Tarragona, Spain

We are recruiting an experienced Piping QA/QC Inspector / Welding Inspector for a major industrial project in Tarragona, Spain.

The position is site-based and requires someone with practical experience inspecting piping fabrication, installation and welding activities.

- Working hours: 56 hours per week
- Rate: Negotiable

Responsibilities

- Inspect piping fabrication and installation activities
- Verify piping materials, specifications and material documentation
- Inspect fit-up, alignment and welding activities
- Review WPSs, welding requirements and welder qualifications
- Witness and coordinate NDT activities
- Work in accordance with ITPs and project QC procedures
- Monitor hydrostatic and pressure-testing activities




- Review test packs and associated quality documentation
- Manage punch items and support mechanical completion
- Raise and follow up quality issues/NCRs where required

Requirements

- Previous Piping QA/QC or Welding Inspection experience
- Experience on Oil & Gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG or similar industrial projects
- Knowledge of piping materials and specifications
- Strong welding inspection knowledge
- Experience with ASME piping/welding standards, particularly ASME B31.3 and ASME IX
- Experience with NDT inspection and coordination
- Ability to read piping isometrics and technical drawings
- Experience with ITPs, test packs and quality documentation
- Relevant welding/NDT inspection certification preferred
- Must be eligible to work in Spain
