Cone Drive, a company in the Timken family of brands, is looking to hire in Madrid a:

Sales Engineer Solar Systems (Power Transmission)

Reporting to the Senior Manager-Sales Power & Electrification Europe, dotted line to the local management in Spain, he/she will focus on developing the Cone Drive Solar Energy Transmission Business across Europe by implementing strategic direction for the European market, achieving annual growth objectives, developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with key customers and distribution partners.

Areas of responsibility





- Develop and implement strategic sales plans for Spain & European’s customers, consistent with Cone Drive business plan.
- Identify, develop, and execute new business development opportunities, strategies and tactics leading to profitable growth which surpass market conditions.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships through regular face-to-face customer visits and interactions, requiring travel and detailed post-sales follow-up.
- Proactively analyze customer needs and issues, utilizing formalized problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement activities and communicate needs.
- Assist sales management in planning, selling strategies and market planning activities.
- Collaborate as needed with Cone Drive China Sales Teams to develop business

Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical education.
- Some relevant experience in the solar industry or renewable energy space.
- Knowledge of power transmission products, slewing bearings and/or slewing drives.
- Strong commercial acumen and business management skills.
- Experience with CRM tools, forecasting and sales planning.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Self-starter with strong customer focus and result orientation.
- Professional Spanish and English required.
