Job Description
The mission is set in the context of mainframe modernization and data center migration, and is currently in the execution phase, no baselining is needed on this project.
The project has entered its mainframe execution phase, with an order placed with vendor management to be handled. The person needs a task-based profile: they must be able to justify their work and progress task by task. Their main responsibility will be installation items management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery & Accountability
- Own the end-to-end delivery of projects
- Ensure delivery against scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives
- Manage risk, issues, and dependencies
2. Governance & Planning
- Define and maintain project governance and organization
- Establish delivery plans (timeline, resourcing, budget)
- Ensure alignment with project management standards and IT controls
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary interface between business sponsors and IT teams
- Facilitate communication across multiple stakeholders
- Negotiate scope, priorities, and changes when required
4. Coordination & Orchestration
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and specialists
- Ensure alignment across architecture, engineering, and business teams
- Manage dependencies with other projects, tribes, or suppliers
5. Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular and transparent reporting to stakeholders and senior management
- Support SteerCo discussions and decision-making
- Escalate risks and issues proactively
6. Financial & Commercial Management
- Monitor budget, forecasts, and cost control
- Contribute to or manage supplier contracts (with procurement support)
7. Continuous Improvement
- Drive process improvements in delivery and governance
- Contribute to standardization of practices and methodologies
Typical Profile / Experience for this mission
- Strong experience in IT project/program management
- Ability to manage large-scale, complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Knowledge of Mainframe technologies and environment is a mandatory prerequisite
- Prior project leadership experience is a strong advantage
- Good understanding of both business and technical environments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Experience with enterprise delivery frameworks and governance
- Experience in data/analytics projects is a strong advantage
