Sentea is growing, and we are looking for a Photonics Production Technician to strengthen our production team.

As a Photonics Production Technician, you will be closely involved in the manufacturing and testing of our photonics-based sensing systems. You will work across the complete production flow: from incoming inspection of photonic integrated circuits to precision fiber attachment, subsystem testing and final system qualification.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with advanced technology, precision assembly and measurement equipment, and who takes pride in delivering high-quality products.

What will you do?

Your responsibilities will include:

- Incoming Quality Control (IQC) of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and other critical components
- Precision fiber attachment to photonic chips, including alignment, bonding and verification
- Performing predefined optical and electrical measurements on wafers and individual chips
- Assembly and quality control of photonic and electronic subassemblies
- Assembly and integration of complete sensing systems
- Execution of system-level functional and performance tests
- Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) before products are released for shipment
- Correctly recording and documenting production and measurement results
- Identifying deviations or production issues and escalating them to the engineering team
- Supporting the improvement of production, assembly and test procedures
- Working according to established production procedures,

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys practical and precise engineering work.

Ideally, you have:

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, electromechanics, photonics or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- A hands-on and accurate way of working
- Experience with measurement equipment, laboratory work or a technical production environment
- Affinity with optics, photonics, electronics or precision assembly
- A strong quality mindset and good attention to detail
- The ability to follow technical procedures and work instructions consistently
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with both production and engineering teams

Experience with photonic integrated circuits, fiber-optic components, active optical alignment or automated test equipment is a plus, but not a requirement.
