About the Role

We are looking for an Expert Network Designer / Architect to serve as a design authority for a highly resilient customer-access network within a major international technology organization. You will contribute to the evolution and lifecycle management of a Juniper and Cisco-based network architecture, ensuring security, resilience and operational integrity.

The role involves strategic technology evaluations, solution design, technical guidance, security remediation, architecture reviews and complex incident escalation. You will work closely with architects, engineering teams, cybersecurity specialists, business stakeholders, customers and technology partners. Regular on-site presence in Belgium is required to support testing, validation and implementation activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to the evolution of network architecture and technology solutions.
- Evaluate new network technologies, products and design improvements.
- Provide expert technical guidance during solution design and implementation.
- Ensure network designs meet technical, operational and security requirements.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex network issues.
- Support operational teams with network troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with technology vendors and cybersecurity teams.
- Assess network security vulnerabilities and define remediation actions.
- Support software upgrades, security patches and configuration improvements.
- Participate as a network SME in cross-functional projects.




- Lead design reviews for small-to-medium complexity initiatives.
- Engage with customers, industry partners and technology suppliers.
- Review and validate network solution designs.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to long-term network technology strategy and continuous improvement.

Mandatory / Core Skills

- Expert-level Network Architecture / Design experience.
- Cisco Routing & Switching – 6–9 years.
- Juniper SRX – 8 years.
- Mission-Critical Environments – 8 years.
- QoS & VPN – 8 years.
- Design Documentation – 6–9 years.
- Security – 5 years.
- Strong experience with network security, resilience and operational integrity.

Nice-to-Have / Additional Skills

- Ansible & Bitbucket – 4–5 years.
- Juniper SD-WAN – 3 years.
- Experience with network automation.
- Vendor and technology-partner collaboration.
