Arcsec is a spinoff company of the KU Leuven university and develops attitude determination and control systems for small satellites.

Arcsec delivers its components to companies and universities around the world and is involved in several research projects with the European Space Agency.

Role

As an Electronics Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development and validation of the electronics used in our space products.

You will work on schematic design, component selection and PCB layout. You will also support board bring-up, circuit debugging and qualification activities, including radiation, EMC and environmental testing.

The role combines electronics design with practical laboratory work, measurements, data analysis and technical documentation. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and support the resolution of electronics-related challenges across different projects.

Tasks

•Select electronic components and perform supporting analyses

•Design schematics and PCB layouts

•Perform board bring-up and debug electronic circuits

•Prepare and perform electronics measurements

•Support radiation test campaigns,



including SEE and TID testing

•Support EMC and environmental testing

•Process and analyse measurement data

•Write clear technical documentation and test reports

•Support other engineers with electronics-related tasks

Required skills

•Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer or similar software

•Hands-on experience with electronic measurement equipment

•A good understanding of analogue and digital electronic circuits

•Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

•Ability to write clear technical documentation and reports

•Ability to use Python for data processing, analysis and visualisation

•Good written and spoken English

Desired Skills

•Experience with electronics for space applications

•Knowledge of radiation effects and testing, including SEE and TID

•Familiarity with ECSS standards

•Basic embedded software development skills

•Basic FPGA development or debugging skills

•Experience with environmental or EMC testing

•Experience with component derating or reliability analysis
