We are hiring for an international client operating in the Railway Infrastructure & Transportation sector, supporting mission-critical applications used for transport planning and operational management.

? Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid - 2 days onsite/week)

? Start Date: ASAP

? Contract Type: B2B / Independent Freelancer

⏳ Duration: Long-term assignment

?️ Languages: Dutch or French + very good English

What You'll Do

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex Java applications
- Work with legacy technologies including Java 6, JavaFX, and Swing
- Contribute to test automation and CI/CD initiatives
- Ensure code quality through Clean Code and SOLID principles
- Collaborate in a Scrum/LeSS environment
- Coach and mentor junior developers
- Participate in an on-call rotation after training

✅ Mandatory Skills

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java development




- Strong Java development experience
- Java 6
- JavaFX
- Swing
- Fullstack development experience
- Agile/Scrum methodology
- Fluent Dutch or French and strong English communication skills

- CI/CD experience
