Embedded Software Developer – Automotive

We are working with an established automotive technology company based in Bruges that is expanding its embedded software development team.

As an Embedded Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing, integrating and maintaining low-level software for automotive electronic systems.

This is a hands-on development position, with a strong focus on C programming, automotive communication protocols and software quality standards.

The Role:

- Develop and maintain embedded software using C
- Design and implement software for automotive electronic systems
- Work with CAN and LIN communication protocols
- Develop software according to MISRA-C coding standards and automotive best practices
- Analyse software requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform software integration, debugging and troubleshooting
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests
- Investigate and resolve software defects at both code and system level
- Work with microcontrollers and other embedded hardware

Your Profile:

- A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related technical discipline
- Professional experience developing software in C
- Experience working with embedded systems or microcontroller-based products
- Practical knowledge of CAN and/or LIN protocols
- Experience working according to MISRA-C or similar software coding standards
- CANoe / CANalyzer
- RTOS
- ARM-based microcontrollers
- MATLAB / Simulink
- ASPICE
