The On‑site Service Specialist will provide expert technical support and lead field service activities for Protection & Control and Substation Automation Systems at customer facilities. Your work will involve commissioning systems, providing expert technical direction on‑site and delivering high‑quality consulting services to our general customers. By bridging the gap between engineering, manufacturing and our clients, you will ensure that our energy solutions are implemented to the highest standards of quality, safety and performance.
Commissioning advanced Protection & Control and Substation Automation Systems to ensure seamless grid performance.
Leading on‑site technical execution, providing expert direction to teams while maintaining rigorous quality and safety standards.
Providing high‑impact technical consulting,
including short‑circuit analysis and relay configuration to solve complex customer challenges.
Collaborating with internal engineering and sales teams to plan, execute and deliver project milestones with precision.
Empowering customers through tailored training and expert support, ensuring they maximise the value of their energy infrastructure.
Improving service delivery by identifying and implementing quality control requirements and leveraging lean methodologies.
Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.
The ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues with electrical Protection relays and Control systems (LV, MV & HV).
An understanding of Protection & Control engineering, including coordination studies and gateway configuration.
An expertise in working within energy and utility project environments.
A keen interest in applying lean principles to streamline field activities and improve project outcomes.
A formal education in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
Proficiency in Spanish and English is essential for this role,
with additional languages considered a plus.
This is a permanent on site position based in our Bilbao office.
