Key responsibilities
Financial closing and control
Oversee and review the monthly financial close, including P&L;, balance sheet, reconciliations, and analysis of key accounts. Coordinate with internal teams and external accounting and tax providers to ensure the quality and timely completion of the financial close. Identify variances, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement across financial processes. Prepare and consolidate recurring financial reporting for the Group. Monitor financial KPIs and analyze variances against budget and forecast. Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to support business decision-making.
Act as the operational point of contact for Group Finance teams across recurring reporting and control processes. Coordinate the resolution of financial queries and issues with the different teams involved. Identify and elevate matters requiring technical judgment, negotiation, or decision-making to the CFO. Accounting and financial policies
Review the correct application of the Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC). Support the identification and reconciliation of differences between local accounting standards and Group financial policies under IFRS and/or US GAAP. Contribute to ensuring the consistency and quality of financial information. Audit
Prepare the information and documentation required for financial audits. Coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve and follow up on audit queries and requests. SAP S/4HANA and finance transformation
Actively participate in the SAP S/4HANA implementation from a finance and process perspective. Support process definition and review, testing and UAT, data validation, and system stabilization following implementation. Contribute to the improvement and standardization of financial processes. Automation and continuous improvement
Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate reporting, reconciliation, and analysis processes. Use advanced tools such as Excel, Power Query, and generative AI to improve the efficiency and quality of financial processes. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and process optimization within the Finance function. Requirements
4–7 years of experience in accounting, controlling, audit, or similar finance positions. Strong knowledge of the Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC). Practical experience or exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP. We are not necessarily looking for a technical accounting specialist, but rather someone able to understand, analyze, and reconcile different accounting frameworks. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and Power Query. Experience using generative AI tools to improve, optimize, or automate financial processes. Candidates may be asked to provide a practical example during the recruitment process. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work autonomously, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose solutions without constant supervision. Professional English, both written and spoken, to work regularly with international teams. Experience with SAP / SAP S/4HANA is highly valued. Experience working in multi-entity and multi-currency environments, particularly EUR/USD, is valued. Previous experience in a Big Four firm, audit, or international companies is valued. What we offer
