Responsibilities
- Conduct intake and assessments for new participants
- Develop service plan with a focus on employment barrier removals, financial stability and housing stabilization
- Provide individualized resources and referrals to community programs
- Assist with clients in advocating for services they qualify for
- Provide on-the-job-training support
- Work with partner Housing Specialists for client re-housing
- Develop partnerships with other community based organizations
- Track outcomes and data management of participants’ activities and accomplishments
- Communicate with On The Job Supervisors to track participant progress
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- Community resources
- Homeless services
- Employment development
- Outcome driven programming
- Trauma-informed Care
Skills
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Human Services, or similar degree, or related field experience required.
- Must have a minimum of 2-3 years in program services
- Demonstrates good judgment and has the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Be driven to succeed, organized, proactive, innovative, responsible, assertive, and versátil
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the capacity to effectively and efficiently handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Must be able to work collaboratively with staff, program partners and volunteers
- Must possess a solid understanding of data collection
