Experteer Overview
In this role you will manage financial planning, forecasting, governance, and cost control across multiple technology and business portfolios. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Portfolio teams to provide financial insight and support investment decisions. The position focuses on Capex, Opex, capitalisation, and governance, delivering clear reports and dashboards to leadership. You will drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy, shaping how multi-million-pound portfolios are managed. This is a strategic, cross-functional role with a strong focus on governance and value maximisation.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and month-end activities across portfolios
• Develop financial plans for Capex, Opex, capitalised overheads, and resource costs
• Monitor spend against budget and forecast; identify risks, opportunities and actions
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and governance requirements
• Manage project funding, POs, accruals, recharges, and investment tracking
• Challenge assumptions to improve accuracy and control; support audits
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Delivery and Finance for reporting and insights
• Track costs against funding; analyse variances and cost drivers; advise leadership




• Run capitalisation and compliance reviews to maximise value and governance
• Produce dashboards, reports, and executive presentations; articulate insights to senior stakeholders
• Drive automation and continuous improvement in reporting
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and strengthen financial controls
• Lead cross-functional cost planning activities and provide guidance to Cost Planners

Responsabilidades
• Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
• Good understanding of Capex, Opex, capitalisation, and financial governance
• Experience supporting large technology, engineering, or transformation portfolios
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to present financial information clearly to senior stakeholders
• Experience using accounting systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle), reporting tools, and financial dashboards
• Track record of driving process improvement and automation
