The role
The British International School of Marbella seeks an exceptional, well-qualified and experienced teacher of chemistry to join on a temporary paternity cover basis. The successful candidate will demonstrate a rigorous and creative approach to teaching and have the necessary skills and vision to enhance teaching and learning within the science department.
Requirements
- Recent UK or international experience of teaching Chemistry up to IGCSE, as well as KS 3 science.
- Honours Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven track record of raising standards of attainment in science.
- Commitment to curriculum innovation.
- Outstanding classroom practice with the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
- Enthusiastic and positive approach to supporting pupils.




- Reflective practitioner who continually strives to improve performance.
- Consistent application of school policies.
- Keen interest in the personal development of pupils.
- Experience of being an effective form tutor or equivalent.
- Willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
