Overview
Senior Go Engineer at Workato Genie team. You will build mission-critical features for the platform, including AI chatbot dispatching and balancing synchronous/asynchronous AI execution. You'll create high-performance gateways, scalable routing, and robust logging/monitoring infrastructure, partnering with Infra, SRE, and AI teams to deliver a premier AI assistant experience. You'll contribute across the full development lifecycle, write efficient code, and explore improvements for scale and reliability. This role combines backend systems with AI-driven capabilities to enable enterprise-scale automation.
Responsabilidades Build high-performance gateways and routing components
Develop server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring
Collaborate with Infra and SRE to meet HA and scalability requirements
Work with the AI team to design features for a new AI assistant
Contribute at all phases of the development lifecycle
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
Evaluate and propose improvements to the existing system




Support continuous improvement by researching alternatives and presenting architectural options
Requisitos principales BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject
8+ years of industry experience
Strong Go backend experience (4+ years)
Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills
Solid understanding of large web application components: databases, load balancers, app servers, message brokers, caching, monitoring
Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems
Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus
Open-source contributions are a plus
Fundamental knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration
Excellent debugging and analytical thinking
Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities
Willingness to work with distributed teams across time zones
Go backend development (4+ years)
