In this role you drive design projects for AWS data centers, providing lifecycle support from concept to implementation. You act as a technical SME across electrical and mechanical disciplines, coordinating with design, operations, safety, and field teams to ensure reliable, scalable infrastructure. You’ll manage multiple concurrent projects across regions and mentor junior engineers, with opportunities to travel up to 25%. This position sits within AWS Infrastructure Services, a diverse, performance-driven team focused on safe, cost-efficient data center operations.

Responsabilidades
Lead design and equipment submittal reviews for regional data centers
Coordinate with internal and external design, server hardware, EHS, field, and controls teams to uphold standards and reliability
Act as a technical subject matter expert across concurrent projects and multiple regions
Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover processes




Mentor and oversee junior engineers and manage engineering consultants
Travel up to 25% to support local and global projects
Requisitos principales
Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities (data centers, power generation, oil and gas)
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred: Professional Engineer License
Experience with building xqbhyrx codes and regulations for the region
Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, deployment or mass production
Experience reading and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
Stakeholder relationship building
