An opportunity for a * Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Engineer * has arisen within * Airbus Defence and Space, * Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the * Mechanical Systems Installation Team * (within the Airbus Derivatives area under Military Derivatives / Air Power).The team stands for Quality & Improvement related to Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control System, and Equipment integration on aircraft. The jobholder will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team to cover the integration of mechanical systems for an exciting and challenging new upcoming military program.* RESPONSIBILITIES *The main tasks of the jobholder will be: * Design & Development: * Concept, definition, and development of design solutions for Mechanical System parts, assemblies, and installations (such as CATIA V5, CSG Full3 D) for aircraft derivative programs. * Technical Definition & Collaboration: * Establish design principles,



key characteristics, interfaces, frontiers, materials, and detailed manufacturing processes in close collaboration with industrial and production teams up to the final customer. *
Lifecycle Management: * Support the complete end-to-end (E2 E) product lifecycle of the aircraft using modern design processes, methods, and software applications. * Inter-departmental Coordination: * Maintain strong ties with other Engineering Design offices (e.g., stress, loads, aerodynamics, structure design, DMU/CAD, materials & processes) to broaden interface design knowledge. *
