Overview
As Executive Director in Madrid, you will lead the Madrid Business Line Compliance team and act as a senior advisor to integral markets, banking, and transaction banking. You ensure regulatory and SCIB policy alignment across front-office activities, policies, and controls, while building a sustainable compliance framework. You will monitor regulatory developments, train staff, and coordinate with regulators and global teams to uphold a strong risk culture. This role offers impact by shaping compliance in a high-stakes wholesale banking environment.

Responsabilidades
Provide real-time compliance advisory to Global Markets, Global Banking, and General Transaction Banking businesses.
Advise on regulations, trade reporting, surveillance, supervision, policies, procedures, and other compliance matters.
Lead the Madrid Business Line Compliance team and embed a sustainable compliance framework.
Monitor regulatory trends and advise stakeholders on business impact.
Draft, update,



and implement policies and procedures; deliver regulatory and compliance training.
Support supervisory/control mechanisms aligning with local and global frameworks.
Participate in conduct investigations, respond to regulatory inquiries, and coordinate audits.
Interact with regulators on compliance matters.
Identify regulatory and conduct risks; contribute to annual risk assessments.
Develop relationships with senior stakeholders, Legal, Risk, and Control teams to strengthen the Compliance brand.
Collaborate with Global and US Compliance teams for consistency across SCIB.
Prepare reports for senior management and governance committees.
Requisitos principales 10+ years in a US or European regulated financial institution with advisory compliance responsibilities.
Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and operate in a fast-paced environment.
Strong background in fixed income sales and trading compliance; commodities experience is
