The opportunity:
You will be part of the global engineering team for power transformers, a dedicated and skilled team, which is responsible for supporting our factories with designs optimization, identifying the best solution and performing design reviews for complex cases.
You will work in an environment with close link to RD experts and will support RD projects or other global initiatives with special design activities. As part of a general team, you will interact with the engineering community across all our factories
How youll make an impact:
- Review critical designs against technical standards and customer requirements.
- Assessactive-part, connection, and electrical clearance arrangements.
- Optimizemechanical designs for strategic tenders and frame agreements.
- Define efficient tank clearances, layouts, and practical design solutions.
- Create 3D models and documentation for welded constructions.
- Perform mechanical simulations for pressure, lifting, transport, seismic, and fatigue loads.
- Use Ansys Mechanical or Creo Simulate to assess structural strength.
- Proposerisk-reductionmeasures based on simulation and design findings.
- Share technical knowledge with engineering teams across multiple locations.
Your background:
- You hold a bachelors degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- You bring five years of power transformer mechanical design experience.
- You understand electrical clearances in air and insulating oil.
- You use 3D modelling software, including Creo Parametric, confidently.
- You understand mechanical simulation, materials, and heavy manufacturing processes.
- You plan, prioritize, manage time, and document work effectively.
- You communicate inclusively and work effectively acrossdifferent cultures.
