Overview

As a Commodities eTrading Analyst at Santander CIB, you will help expand electronic trading capabilities for commodity products and drive client growth through automation and data-driven insights. You will collaborate with Sales, Structuring, Quants and Technology to enhance digital channels and reduce operational risk. The role blends analytics, platform management, and workflow optimization to improve client experience and P&L.; This is a chance to shape Santander’s digital trading capabilities in a global banking environment.

Responsabilidades

- Create and expand electronic trading connectivity services for commodity products, delivering seamless end-to-end digital experiences
- Analyse trading, client and market data to identify business opportunities and drive performance improvements
- Drive innovation in digital client services, APIs and automated trading capabilities
- Manage and enhance eTrading platforms and workflows to improve client service quality,



optimize risk controls, and support growth
- Develop and implement automation solutions to reduce operational risk and increase efficiency
- Design and enhance tools for pricing, risk monitoring, trading analytics and workflow optimization

Requisitos principales

- Experience in Financial Markets and Derivatives Products (required)
- Knowledge of Commodity Markets (preferred)
- Master's degree in STEM or related discipline
- English proficiency; Spanish preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of financial markets, quantitative finance, derivatives, and electronic trading workflows
- Programming and data analysis experience
- Interest in Machine Learning and AI applied to financial markets
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work across business and technology teams in a fast-paced environment
