A prestigious and growing educational group is looking to appoint an Accounting and Administration Officer for one of our schools. If you have experience in a similar role and would like to join a team committed to educational excellence, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
BILLING AND INCOME MANAGEMENT
Issuing and posting invoices for tuition fees, school meals, books, uniforms, transport services, extracurricular activities and school trips.
Managing and monitoring student enrolments and withdrawals within the billing system.
Processing discount requests and coordinating their approval through the Group Head Office.
Managing the school's petty cash and cash/card receipts, including reconciliation, accounting entries and bank deposits.
Recording and monitoring income and refunds, including the tracking and reconciliation of payments made by card, bank transfer and direct debit.
Managing billing and collection queries, including investigating and resolving discrepancies, invoicing errors, unidentified payments, refunds and other related issues.
Managing invoicing and monitoring of the school's vending machines.
Managing aged debt reports, monitoring outstanding payments,
payment plans and preparing supporting documentation where required.
SCHOOL SERVICES AND ADMINISTRATION
Managing and monitoring forms related to billing, including reviewing, updating and administering services such as school trips, extracurricular activities and school transport.
Providing administrative support to families regarding payments, enquiries, issue resolution and related matters.
Coordinating with the Admissions, Marketing, School Office, Reception, Purchasing, Finance, Investment and Cost Control departments.
Issuing and managing school attendance certificates.
Providing support to the Reception team.
FINANCIAL CONTROL AND REPORTING
Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring.
Coordinating and monitoring, alongside the Head Office team, the key performance indicators (KPIs) established for the school.
Preparing monthly financial closings and reconciliations.
Requirements
Qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
· Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential (a language assessment will be conducted as part of the selection process).
