Job DetailsThe Accounting and Management Control Department of IE University is seeking candidates in all areas of accounting for up to two tenure-track Assistant professorships beginning September 2027.
The Accounting and Management Control Department is part of a university research cluster that combines advanced empirical methods with rigorous theoretical models to study the policies and mechanisms shaping markets and society. Institutions, firms,



and markets play a critical role in resource allocation and the functioning of modern economies. This cluster examines these dynamics to generate evidence-based insights that support smarter policy design and enrich public debate.
The Department’s research interests are diverse covering financial reporting, management control systems, auditing, taxation, accounting history, accounting for non-profit organizations and sustainability reporting. The research methodologies used are also diverse, embracing quantitative and qualitative research. Although we welcome candidates working in any accounting-related area, for the near future we are particularly interested in the following two topics: Accounting and Technology and ESG reporting.
