This is a high-impact technical leadership role within a mission-driven education technology environment focused on making quality learning more accessible. You will combine hands-on engineering with technical direction, people leadership, and close product collaboration. You’ll help shape scalable systems, influence architecture decisions, and set high standards for engineering quality and delivery. Working with a globally distributed team, you’ll mentor engineers while partnering closely with product, design, data, and AI specialists. The role offers meaningful influence over both the technology and the team as the organization scales. It’s an opportunity to build products that directly affect learners while helping establish the technical foundations for the next stage of growth.

Accountabilities
- Lead and mentor a globally distributed engineering team, fostering a high-performing, inclusive, collaborative,



and feedback-driven culture.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through coding, pair programming, peer reviews, architecture design, and technical decision-making.
- Establish and maintain high standards across software architecture, testing, CI/CD, code quality, reliability, and engineering best practices.
- Promote a DevOps mindset in which engineers take ownership of their work throughout the full development lifecycle, from design through deployment and ongoing operation.
- Architect and deliver scalable, maintainable systems and user-facing features with measurable impact on learners.
- Work with AI specialists to incorporate adaptive and personalized learning capabilities into the platform.
- Partner closely with product, design, and data teams to define scope, prioritize effectively, shape the roadmap, and align technical delivery with product outcomes.
