Description

Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.

To support the continued growth and strategic execution of this ambitious programme, we are looking for a Chief of Staff to serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Director of the IRIS² Program. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the centre of a major European space initiative, driving alignment across stakeholders, supporting executive decision-making, and ensuring effective execution of strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Director in defining, communicating, and executing the strategic objectives of the IRIS² Program.
- Act as a strategic advisor on business, programmatic, technological, and institutional matters.
- Prepare executive analyses, recommendations,



and decision-support materials for senior leadership.
- Anticipate risks, opportunities, and organizational challenges, proposing mitigation and improvement actions.
- Ensure alignment between strategic priorities and operational execution across the programme.
- Support governance processes and monitor progress against programme objectives, schedules, budgets, milestones, and KPIs.
- Coordinate executive reviews, steering committees, governance boards, and follow-up actions.
- Facilitate the resolution and escalation of critical programme issues.
- Coordinate activities across engineering, satellite systems, ground segment, operations, business development, institutional affairs, procurement, legal, and finance teams.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and working groups to ensure successful delivery of strategic projects.
