We are seeking a hands-on Finance Controller to take end-to-end ownership of finance for the Spanish business while ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Group.

This is a broad role in a lean organisation. The Finance Controller will be expected to combine strong technical oversight with hands-on execution across accounting, reporting, taxation, treasury, business planning and controls. The role will work closely with Trenes.com management, ixigo Group Finance,

external advisors, auditors, banks, payment providers and key commercial teams.

A key initial priority will be to strengthen the monthly close and control environment, align local processes with Group requirements, and complete the migration and stabilisation of finance processes within MS Dynamics.

Key responsibilities :

1 Financial controllership and accounting

- Own the complete books of account and monthly, quarterly and annual close for the Spanish entity,

including journals, accruals, provisions, prepayments, fixed assets and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure the local statutory books and annual accounts are accurate and compliant with Spanish GAAP and applicable local requirements.
- Maintain the Group reporting ledger and prepare reconciliations between Spanish GAAP and the Group's Ind AS reporting requirements.
- Review all material balance-sheet accounts, open items and ageing schedules, and ensure timely resolution of unreconciled differences.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee expenses, invoicing and the accounting treatment of commercial arrangements.
- Maintain robust documentation for significant estimates, judgements, revenue recognition, provisions and non-routine transactions.

2 OTA revenue and operational reconciliations
- Own the end-to-end reconciliation of bookings, cancellations, refunds, vouchers, commissions and incentives with rail operators and other travel partners.
- Reconcile payment gateways, bank receipts, chargebacks, customer refunds and settlement files to the booking platform and general ledger.
- Ensure appropriate gross-versus-net and revenue recognition treatment for commissions, incentives, service fees, refunds and other OTA revenue streams.
- Monitor operator receivables and payables, settlement ageing, negative balances and revenue leakage, and escalate material exceptions promptly.
- Partner with technology and operations teams to automate high-volume reconciliations and strengthen source-to-ledger data integrity.

3 Group reporting and consolidation
- Deliver complete and accurate monthly and quarterly reporting packs to ixigo Group Finance within the prescribed close calendar.
- Support quarterly review and annual audit requirements arising from consolidation into an Indian listed parent, including schedules, explanations and audit evidence.
- Prepare intercompany confirmations, reconciliations and elimination schedules and ensure timely resolution of differences.
- Coordinate accounting for related-party transactions,

transfer-pricing arrangements, shared costs and cross-border balances in line with Group policies.
- Provide timely variance explanations, management commentary and disclosure inputs required for Group financial reporting.
- Immediately escalate any material accounting issue, control failure, fraud indicator, litigation or regulatory matter that may affect Group reporting or disclosure.

4 Planning and commercial finance
- Lead the annual budget, periodic forecasts and monthly performance review for the Spanish business.
- Prepare management reporting covering revenue, gross booking value, transactions, contribution margin, operating expenses, cash flow and key operational drivers.
- Analyse presente performance against budget and prior periods, identify underlying drivers and agree corrective actions with business owners.
- Develop financial models and business cases for pricing, marketing, supplier arrangements, technology investments and new commercial initiatives.
- Support local management and Group Finance with practical, data-based insights while maintaining independent financial challenge and control.

5 Tax, statutory compliance and audit
- Coordinate timely preparation and filing of Spanish corporate tax, VAT, withholding and other applicable returns with external advisors.
- Ensure payroll-related accounting and statutory payments are correctly recorded and reconciled in coordination with HR, payroll providers and advisors.
- Maintain a compliance calendar covering tax filings, annual accounts, corporate requirements, audit deliverables and other recurring obligations.
- Manage local statutory auditors, tax advisors and other finance service providers, including timelines, information quality and fee discipline.
- Support Group auditors and internal reviews and ensure audit requests are answered accurately,

completely and on time.
- Monitor tax and regulatory developments relevant to the business and assess their accounting, cash and compliance impact.

6 Treasury, cash and payment controls
- Own short-term cash-flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring and working-capital reporting.
- Oversee bank accounts, payment gateways, authorised signatories and banking relationships, with appropriate access and maker-checker controls.
- Ensure payments are supported by approved documentation, recorded in the correct period and processed in accordance with delegated authority limits.
- Monitor foreign-currency and cross-border exposures and coordinate funding, repatriation and intercompany settlements with Group Finance.
- Provide timely visibility of cash requirements, overdue receivables, significant commitments and contingent exposures.

7 Controls, systems and process improvement

- Implement and maintain a proportionate internal financial control framework aligned with the governance expectations of an Indian listed parent.

- Operate as the senior finance point of contact for Trenes.com management and ixigo Group Finance.
- Work effectively across Spain and India, managing time-sensitive deliverables across teams, advisors and auditors.
- Communicate financial matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders and build accountability for budgets, controls and commercial outcomes.
- Remain hands-on and willing to perform detailed work when required in a smaller, fast-moving organisation.

Qualifications and experience

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline. A recognised professional accounting qualification is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Spanish GAAP and Spanish statutory accounting and tax compliance.

Exposure to IFRS or Ind AS reporting is highly desirable.

experience with booking and settlement reconciliations will be particularly valuable.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling capability. Experience with MS Dynamics or a comparable ERP is preferred.
