? We’re hiring: Scientist – Protein Engineering & Diagnostic Assay Development
At Taldeki Biosolutions, we are developing a new generation of biomolecular recognition technologies based on our proprietary Metallobodies® platform.
Metallobodies® combine engineered protein scaffolds with metal nanoclusters, integrating molecular recognition and signal generation within a single functional system. Our goal is to use this technology to create more sensitive, robust and multiplexed diagnostic assays for clinically important applications.
Our first focus is in autoimmune and infection disease diagnostics where there is a clear need for better biomarker detection, improved multiplexing and earlier, more informative testing.
We are now looking for a talented and highly motivated Scientist to join our growing R&D; team in San Sebastián–Donostia, Spain.
This is a hands-on scientific role for someone who wants to work across protein engineering, assay development, nanotechnology and translational diagnostics.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Design, engineer, express, purify and characterize recombinant proteins and novel recognition elements
- Develop and optimize sensitive and multiplexed immunoassays for autoimmune biomarkers
- Work with ELISA, bead-based, fluorescence and luminescence assay formats
- Contribute to the development of next-generation Metallobodies-based diagnostic platforms
- Work with clinical samples and support assay validation in clinically relevant settings
- Collaborate with hospitals,
clinicians and research partners to translate new assays toward real diagnostic use
- Design experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot technical challenges and generate high-quality scientific evidence
- Help transform early-stage concepts into reproducible assays, prototypes and future diagnostic products
- Contribute scientific ideas and help shape the technological direction of a growing biotechnology company
We’re looking for someone with:
- A PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Chemistry or a related discipline
- Strong hands-on experience in protein engineering, recombinant protein expression, purification and characterization
- Demonstrated experience in assay development and optimization
- Excellent experimental design, troubleshooting and data-analysis skills
- Scientific independence, curiosity and a collaborative mindset
- Excellent communication skills in English
This is an opportunity to join Taldeki at an exciting stage: building a new recognition technology while applying it directly to clinically meaningful diagnostic challenges.
If you are excited by the possibility of helping create more sensitive and multiplexed diagnostics for autoimmune and infectious diseases, and of working closely with clinical collaborators to turn innovative science into real-world solutions, we would love to hear from you.
