Discovery Tech team helps customers discover and engage with new, popular and relevant products across Amazon worldwide. We do this by combining technology, science, innovation and creativity to build new customer-facing features and experiences alongside latest tools for marketers. You will be responsible for creating software that help customers to shop cross-category, easily discover new ideas, new categories and new brands and have fun while shopping. You will drive opportunities to automate Amazon's cross-category marketing and merchandising and will help to deliver the best possible shopping experience for Amazon's customers all over the globe.
Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality software.
You will develop and drive requirements back to engineering and applied science teams and partner with them to deliver exceptional products. Expect to be in charge of new projects and initiatives, developing new products, managing business and technical requirements, driving performance,



and help building plans for the future. As a new team, we carry little tech debt. We prioritize writing high quality and maintainable code, and build systems that leverage existing tools to provide extensive test coverage across our services. Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
