We are looking for an experienced
HSE Manager
to join a major hyperscale data centre development in Zaragoza, working directly on the
client side
to oversee health, safety and environmental performance across the project.
This is a long-term, 2-year contract offering
€550 per day plus €2,000 per month towards expenses
.
The Role
You will represent the client across all HSE matters, providing oversight and assurance of the General Contractor and wider supply chain throughout construction.
Responsibilities will include:
- Client-side HSE oversight across a large-scale hyperscale data centre project
- Monitoring and auditing the General Contractor and subcontractor HSE performance
- Reviewing RAMS, HSE plans, procedures and contractor documentation
- Conducting site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Leading HSE meetings and driving corrective actions
- Monitoring leading and lagging safety indicators
- Investigating incidents, near misses and identifying root causes
- Ensuring compliance with Spanish legislation, client standards and project requirements
- Challenging contractors where standards fall below expectations
- Producing HSE reports and communicating performance to senior client stakeholders
- Driving a proactive safety culture across the project
Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong HSE management experience on major construction or engineering projects
- Previous experience within
data centres, mission-critical, industrial, energy or major infrastructure projects
- Experience operating in a
client-side, PMC or contractor oversight capacity
- Strong knowledge of Spanish HSE legislation and construction requirements
- Relevant HSE qualifications
- Confidence managing and challenging major General Contractors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
