Position based in Madrid, Spain Your missions : As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop and continuously improve software to deliver high-quality applications, services and technologies that provide value to end users.
You will contribute to improving our solutions based on usage and user feedback, while working on advanced technologies at the intersection of software development, simulation and High Performance Computing.
Rapid execution of complex simulations is a key component of the SIMULIA MODSIM approach and an essential requirement for competitive simulation solutions.
To accelerate the deployment of multi-GPU simulation solutions, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join a team focused on High Performance Computing (HPC), with a particular emphasis on GPU development for fluid simulation technologies.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of software running on GPU-based computing architectures. You will work with C++ and CUDA and collaborate with specialists from different scientific and technical backgrounds to address complex simulation challenges.
You will have the opportunity to work on CFD algorithms and approaches, including one or more of the following:
- Lattice Boltzmann methods;
- Continuum approaches to Navier-Stokes, including finite volume or finite element methods;
- Lagrangian formulations, such as SPH or DEM;
- Ray tracing methods;
- Linear equation solvers.
A strong analytical mindset and a solid mathematical background will help you address complex technical challenges. Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics algorithms and experience implementing physical models within commercial or academic CFD infrastructures will be valuable assets. Your qualifications : Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field, with 1–3 years of relevant coding or software development experience Hands-on professional or academic experience developing in C++ and CUDA on Linux Background in scientific programming and familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) Strong analytical skills and a solid mathematical background
Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and fluid flow simulation is a plus
Familiarity with one or more fluid simulation approaches, such as Lattice Boltzmann, Navier-Stokes, SPH or DEM, is a plus
Experience contributing to CFD software or implementing physical models within a commercial or academic CFD environment is a plus
Familiarity with modern source code management and DevOps practices
Ability to collaborate effectively with specialists from diverse scientific and technical backgrounds
Curiosity, analytical thinking and a willingness to learn and take on new technical challenges
