Senior HSE Engineer in Fire Protection and Process Safety to lead technical efforts on industrial and energy projects in Spain. You will guide fire protection design, risk assessment, environmental compliance, and permitting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from concept through execution. You will shape safety and protection strategies, ensuring regulatory alignment and project deliverables. This is a cross-functional role with a strong impact on project safety, compliance, and performance.
Responsabilidades
Develop Fire Protection Design Basis and Philosophies
Define fire protection strategies for industrial facilities
Design and review fire protection systems (water networks, deluge, sprinkler, water mist, foam, detectors, passive protection)
Perform fire water demand calculations and hydraulic analyses
Verify adequacy of existing fire protection systems
Develop Fire & Gas detection philosophies and Cause & Effect Matrices
Produce layouts for fire protection equipment and detectors
Prepare technical specifications, material requisitions,



equipment lists, and cost estimates
Conduct HAZID/HAZOP/SIL studies and risk assessments (quantitative and qualitative)
Prepare Process Hazard Analysis documentation
Define and evaluate risk mitigation measures
Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments, Health and Safety Studies
Support permitting, licensing, and regulatory approvals
Interface with authorities, clients, and third parties
Perform Hazardous Area Classification studies and drawings
Coordinate hazardous area requirements with electrical and instrumentation xqbhyrx teams
Requisitos principales
Bachelors or Masters Degree in relevant engineering field or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of experience in HSE, Process Safety and Fire Protection Engineering
Minimum 7 years specifically designing fire protection systems for industrial/energy facilities
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Ability to work in multidisciplinary and international teams
