As Engineering Manager, you will lead teams shaping Flywire’s core payments architecture and scale our distributed, high-availability systems. You’ll balance strategic technical direction with people leadership, enabling AI-driven automation to improve payments compliance and risk. You’ll partner with Product, QA and SRE to align roadmaps and deliver impact at global scale. This is a mission-driven role for someone who thrives in cross-functional, fast-growing environments and wants to influence the future of payments technology.

Responsabilidades
Strategic Oversight: set priorities for specific teams and ensure execution aligns with strategy
Team Development: manage performance, coaching, hiring within budget
Resource Allocation:



determine approaches to daily operations across multiple product lines
System Evolution: guide long-term technical direction for reliable, scalable distributed systems
AI & Automation: design AI-enabled workflow orchestration for compliance and risk
Quality Governance: enforce design reviews, TDD and CI/CD practices
Stakeholder Alignment: collaborate with Product, QA, and SRE to match roadmaps with outcomes
General Influence: build relationships across the organization to refine infrastructure requirements
Requisitos principales
3+ years xqbhyrx managing and mentoring engineering teams with track record in performance management and hiring
7+ years of software engineering experience on high-availability production systems and distributed architecture
Hands-on experience building or supporting payment platforms, payment gateways, fintech products, or related domains
Strong ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders
