Role Purpose The CSA Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the execution of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) works on site, ensuring that construction activities are delivered in accordance with the approved design, project schedule, quality requirements and applicable Spanish regulations. The role will act as a key interface between the Chinese project/engineering teams, Spanish contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders, ensuring effective technical communication and coordination throughout the construction phase. The position will also support construction permit-related activities, technical reviews, progress monitoring, quality control and the resolution of on-site technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the execution of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) works on site, ensuring compliance with project requirements, approved designs, schedule and Spanish regulations.
- Develop and monitor CSA construction schedules, track progress, identify delays and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project teams.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, subcontractors and consultants to resolve technical issues, RFIs, design discrepancies and construction interfaces.
- Supervise construction quality, including inspections, testing, non-conformities and corrective actions,
ensuring compliance with approved specifications and applicable Spanish standards.
- Review CSA drawings, technical documentation, method statements and inspection records.
- Support construction permit processes and ensure required documentation, inspections and approvals are properly managed.
- Monitor contractors' performance and coordinate day-to-day site activities within the CSA scope.
- Prepare progress, quality and construction reports and participate in project and construction meetings.
- Act as a key communication link between Chinese project/engineering teams and Spanish contractors and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective technical communication.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Spanish construction regulations, standards and project procedures.

Qualifications
- Education & Major
Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- Work Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in CSA construction management, or experience in managing the construction of at least one industrial project (factory, workshop, etc.).
- Ideally previous experience on Large-scale housing construction projects, industrial projects, public facility projects, and energy construction projects.
- Familiar with the construction management of precast concrete structure; relevant project experience is preferred.
- Familiar with Spanish construction procedures, standards (e.g., building codes, safety regulations) and industry practices.
- Solid knowledge of civil and structural construction, quality control, construction planning and site coordination.
- Work experience in contractor, Dirección Facultativa team, project management company and design firm is acceptable
- Language Skills
Spanish – mandatory English – intermediate
Chinese – ideally fluent
- Other Requirements
- Good knowledge of construction drawings, technical specifications and site execution.
- Experience with RFI, NCR, inspections, testing and acceptance procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD and/or BIM is desirable.
