The Economic Research Area
The Economic Research Area is institutionally responsible for preparing and coordinating all macroeconomic forecasts for Santander Bank for the Group's main forums and Committees. It also conducts macroeconomic and macro-financial analysis of the Group’s key countries and business units,



while advising Senior Management on the economic scenarios relevant to strategic decision-making.
Latin America Focus
Within the department, the Latin America area coordinates the macroeconomic analysis of the countries where Santander has a presence in the region and integrates local perspectives into a coherent regional view connected to the Group's global economic outlook. It also participates in the design and preparation of the macroeconomic scenarios used in planning processes and stress-testing exercises, in close collaboration with the local Economic Research teams and the relevant corporate areas.
