What you’ll do as aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Effectively communicates resident needs with physicians and immediate supervisor
- Maintains awareness of the condition of all residents under their care
- Accurately administers all medications, treatments, and physician orders; taking ultimate responsibility for resident care
- Confers with Director of Nursing on an ongoing basis with special problems of care, resident transfers, management of workload, etc.
- Coordinates preparation and planning of resident admission; giving proper recognition to the real and potential contribution of family and others in planning nursing care
- Provides for emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents, and emotional support to families
- Supervises, assists, consults with, and teaches certified nursing assistants
