As Principal Software Engineer, you define the architectural direction for Elastic Cloud’s application networking, including Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls. You’ll lead cross-organizational initiatives, elevate reliability, and mentor engineers while partnering with product and senior staff to shape the platform. This role offers influence over high-scale networking systems and the chance to drive architectural clarity and cost efficiency. You’ll work in a distributed environment delivering secure, observable cloud services.

Responsabilidades
- Set the technical direction for major application networking initiatives from proposal to GA
- Lead development of Ingress, private connectivity,
DNS, and security controls at scale for Elastic Cloud
- Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and operability issues
- Lead multi-quarter, cross-organizational projects and guide delivery
- Improve operational quality and lead end-to-end incident investigations and on-call rotation
- Mentor engineers and act as a trusted technical advisor across the org
- Collaborate with product management and senior stakeholders on trade-offs and roadmap direction
- Champion security, stability, and cost-efficiency improvements
- Untangle complexity and bring architectural clarity across the platform
Requisitos principales
- Experience designing high-performance, scalable distributed systems at staff/principal level
- Deep expertise in application networking and cloud-native architecture
- Strong knowledge of Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls
- Proven ability to own project
