About the role
We're looking for a Box Office Assistant to join our Visitor & Security Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an organisation with a world-renowned collection and a mission to inspire curiosity, understanding and engagement with cultures across the globe. The role provides a vital first point of contact for our visitors, helping them access exhibitions, events, lectures and other Museum experiences.
This role offers far more than a traditional box office position. As part of the Museum team, you'll have the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the organisation's work, collections and public programmes. You will join a small, supportive team of four Box Office Assistants, working closely together to deliver an excellent service and contribute to continuous improvements across the function.

About you
We're looking for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service and is confident communicating with a diverse range of people.
You'll bring:
- Experience working in a busy customer-facing environment, ideally within a box office, contact centre or similar service setting.
- Outstanding communication and telephone skills with experience providing high-quality customer service.
- Confidence promoting, recommending or upselling products and services.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy and good IT skills, including experience using databases and Microsoft-based systems.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and professional in a fast-paced environment, with a collaborative approach.
