? What you’ll do

As our Business Controller, you will be the backbone of our financial reliability and internal governance. Operating as a key link between daily accounting and strategic financial management, you will oversee month-end close procedures, ensure airtight internal controls, and lead our end-to-end royalty operations and reconciliations. Working closely with cross-functional teams and reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a hands-on role in safeguarding our financial health, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring seamless compliance across all operational workflows.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Operational Control & Closing Support: Oversee monthly accounting execution and ensure accurate, timely month-end close procedures —including journal entries, bank/subledger/intercompany reconciliations, and statutory accruals, prepaids, and depreciations to ensure internal compliance and provide the final sign-off on financial books before hand-off to FP&A.; Actively participate in the company’s invoicing processes, while regularly reviewing client accounts, aged receivables, and customer profitability.
- End-to-End Royalties Management: Oversee the complete royalty lifecycle—from data extraction, DSP/client confirmations, and invoicing preparation to coordinating confirmed amounts with the Head of Finance and troubleshooting operational issues, working closely with Development, Data, and Supply Chain.




- DSP & Royalties Operational Account Management: Manage operational relationships across DSPs ensuring operational and financial accuracy.
- Royalties Reconciliation: Lead the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of royalties reconciliation processes to ensure alignment between external DSP reports, payments received and royalties confirmed.
- Cost Control & Expense Policy Compliance: Monitor operational, departmental, and vendor expenditures against corporate policies, ensuring proper authorization, cost efficiency, and accurate account coding before accounting closures.
- Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Define, implement, and maintain rigorous internal financial procedures, policy compliance, and operational standards across all business units.
- Audit & External Advisory Support: Collaborate with the Finance team in relations with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal consultants, assisting in the preparation, documentation, and coordination required to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Non-Dilutive Financing & Subsidies collaboration: Support and collaborate on alternative financing opportunities and public funding projects, assisting in the preparation, documentation, and operational tracking of government grants, public loans, and tax credit incentives.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

- Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or similar.
- +4 years of experience in financial controlling, audit, or senior accounting in fast-paced or international environments.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Hands-on experience with financial reconciliations, month-end closing procedures, and audit management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- Know your way around the music or media tech space
- Have experience participating in ERP implementation projects is a plus
