Chemical Engineer
, a key role to execute the general product strategy for one or more of IOT’s business lines. Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Chemist or Chemical Engineer with expertise in radical photopolymerization to join our innovative team in a breakthrough project on lens manufacturing by Threshold Volumetric Printing. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with international teams to design, formulate, and optimize photopolymerizable systems for volumetric printing lens manufacturing applications. Conduct experimental work on radical photopolymerization processes, ensuring reproducibility and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate photopolymerization into a volumetric printing lens manufacturing workflow. Analyze and interpret data to improve material performance and processing efficiency.
Required
Qualifications
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science, OR equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated experience in radical photopolymerization, either through: Professional projects, or Academic research (Master’s thesis or Ph.D. dissertation). Strong understanding of polymer chemistry and photoinitiator systems. Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with acrylates and urethanes in photopolymer formulations. Practical knowledge of 3D printing technologies, especially volumetric printing. Familiarity with rheology, curing kinetics, and mechanical characterization of polymers. Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment. Skills & Competencies
