Overview

As Data Center Construction Manager, you will oversee multi-disciplinary construction efforts at a data center site, ensuring safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery. You'll partner with GCs, engineers, and internal teams to drive constructability, commissioning, and handover for mission-critical facilities. The role supports energy-efficient, scalable data centers and contributes to AWS's world-class infrastructure program.

You will lead, mentor, and coordinate across stakeholders to deliver high-quality turnovers and resilient systems.

Responsabilidades

Oversee construction activities for new builds and capital projects at a designated data center site, owning scope, schedule, and budget.

Interface directly with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.

Collaborate with contractors and vendors to achieve efficient, high-quality project turnovers.

Lead bid analyses and contract negotiations; evaluate proposals with precision.

Create project scopes and RFPs; manage capital requests and financial analysis including change orders and invoicing.





Manage initiatives to increase data center resiliency through targeted construction projects.

Review electrical and mechanical designs and oversee submittals for new or upgraded facilities.

Develop and support commissioning plans and oversee the commissioning process; track construction metrics for reporting.

Provide leadership within the group and across internal/external teams to support site delivery.

Work location: Zaragoza/Spain data center site.

Requisitos principales Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)

Experience in data center delivery or mission-critical facilities construction (preferred)

Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)

Knowledge of construction management, commissioning, and design review processes

Strong ability to read, interpret, and comment on electrical and mechanical designs

Experience managing project scope, timeline, and budget, including contracts and procurement

Comments on safety, quality, and compliance in data center environments leadership clear communication stakeholder management construction project management contract negotiation and bid analysis construction submittal reviews
