As Data Science Lead, you set the direction for a small data science team while remaining hands-on. You translate complex data into business value through ML, predictive modeling, and analytics that inform strategy. You collaborate with cross-functional partners to solve key business challenges and drive measurable impact. This hybrid role blends leadership with coding and pipeline work, shaping the data agenda and delivering high-impact projects.

• Lead and develop a team of two data scientists, defining objectives and supporting growth
• Hands-on delivery of complex, high-impact projects with code reviews and pairing
• Plan and prioritize backlog, balancing stakeholder requests for predictable delivery
• Identify business challenges and design data-driven solutions aligned with strategy
• Own and translate the data science roadmap into actionable team plans
• Build, deploy, and maintain ML models to forecast trends and optimize processes
• Analyze large datasets and present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsabilidades
• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years in data science with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of solving complex business problems with data
• Demonstrated line-management and staff development experience
• Hands-on credibility with production-quality code and peer reviews
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and defending priorities
• Strong understanding of business operations and alignment of data projects
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Technical skills in Python, R, or Scala; ML frameworks (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn); SQL; cloud platforms (AWS, Azure); big data tools (Hadoop, Spark)
