Overview In this role you will design, build and operate backend services for a Europe-wide loyalty platform, enabling scalable, reliable customer experiences. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions that support growth and improve loyalty interactions. You will work with cutting-edge tech and DevOps practices to ensure high availability and rapid delivery.

This is a hands-on, impact-driven position in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment with a strong focus on continuous learning and architecture decisions.

Responsabilidades Design, implement, maintain and operate backend services to support scalable applications for Customer & Marketing using Kotlin

Build and manage scalable systems with Terraform, Kubernetes, Flux (GitOps) and Docker

Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for efficient deployments

Utilize Google Cloud products (BigQuery, GKE, Pub/Sub)



and MongoDB Atlas to optimize cloud apps

Apply test frameworks like Kotest and Testcontainers to ensure high-quality code

Contribute to agile processes (Scrum/Kanban) and continuously improve development practices

Participate in regular on-call rotations to ensure high availability

Requisitos principales 5+ years of professional software development experience

Kotlin (JVM) backend development

Strong server-side backend expertise

Experience with event-driven architectures and GCP Pub/Sub

NoSQL databases knowledge, especially MongoDB

Containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) with hands-on experience

IaC experience with Terraform (a plus)

Ktor as web framework (a plus)

Arrow functional programming library (a plus)

Kotlin coroutines familiarity (a plus)
