The roleWe're looking for an experienced air cargo operations agent to run the day-to-day export operation for a portfolio of our airline principals out of Madrid.

This is the airline side of air cargo. You are not moving one forwarder's shipments — you are filling aircraft: managing the space you have been given, deciding what goes on which flight, and making sure the revenue and the service both hold up. ALG gives local teams real authority to act, so you will make those calls yourself.

What you'll be doing• Managing bookings and space control for Delta Air Lines: allotments, capacity, prioritisation and offload decisions.

- Optimising load factor and yield flight by flight, working with the sales team / pricing and management.




- Issuing and validating AWBs and e-AWBs on behalf of the airline; making sure documentation is compliant before departure.
- Building and checking manifests and handling cargo messaging (FWB, FSU, FFM / Cargo-IMP / Cargo-XML).
- Coordinating handling agents and trucking suppliers to meet cut-offs and keep ground costs under control.
- Handling special cargo in line with IATA requirements: dangerous goods, perishables, pharma, valuables, live animals.
- Being the operational point of contact for forwarders: space requests, status, exception handling, problem-solving.
- Reporting operational and load performance back to our airline principals.

What we're looking for• Minimum 2 years in air cargo operations — at a GSSA, airline, handling agent, or on a forwarder's air export desk.

- Working knowledge of air cargo documentation and messaging.
- Experience with an air cargo reservation or operating system (iCargo, Cargospot).
- Advanced English — daily contact with airlines and with ALG offices worldwide.
- Fluent Spanish.
- Able to prioritise under cut-off pressure without letting documentation accuracy slip.
- Right to work in Spain.
- Driving Licence.

A plus, but not required: IATA DGR certification, known consignor knowledge, previous GSSA experience, a third language, pharma, perishables, e-commerce traffic.
