About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and adaptable HR Specialist to join a fast-growing international automotive company in Barcelona.
The role will support day-to-day HR operations in Spain, covering the full employee lifecycle, payroll coordination, recruitment support, employee relations and HR administration. You will work closely with local teams, external HR/payroll providers and international stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who combines solid knowledge of Spanish HR practices with a practical, business-oriented and adaptable approach, and who is comfortable working in a dynamic international environment where priorities and processes may evolve quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, employee changes and offboarding.
- Support recruitment activities, interview coordination and hiring processes.
- Coordinate monthly payroll information and work closely with external payroll providers / asesoría.
- Support Social Security procedures, employee documentation, leave, attendance and other HR administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers.
- Support employee relations matters and coordinate with external legal or HR advisors when required.
- Assist with HR policies, internal procedures and local HR projects.
- Work closely with different departments and international stakeholders to support business needs.
- Support the continuous improvement of HR processes as the organisation grows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in HR Generalist, HR Specialist, HR Operations, HR Administration or a similar rolein Spain.
- Hands-on experience with employee lifecycle management and HR administration.
- Practical knowledge of Spanish employment practices, payroll processes and Social Security procedures.
- Experience coordinating with external payroll providers or asesoría is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proactive, solution-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural and evolving organisation.
- Fluent Spanish; good working English required.
- Catalan is highly desirable.
- Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
- Based in Barcelona or able to work on-site in Barcelona.
